Legal documents are provided in English.
This Privacy Policy describes how FitzTools (also operating as Fitz.apps) (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with:
- our website at https://fitztools.com/ (the “Site”);
- our Chrome browser extensions published under Fitz.apps / FitzTools, including HTML to PDF Converter: Upload & Paste Code and Lovable Project Downloader: AI Prompt Optimizer & Auto Queue (also referred to as Lovable Downloader) (together, the “Extensions”); and
- related product pages, support communications, and Chrome Web Store listings.
By using the Site or installing an Extension, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Extensions.
1. Who we are / controller
Publisher / operator: Fitz.apps / FitzTools
Privacy & support contact: egor.besarabm@gmail.com
Website: https://fitztools.com/
For questions about this Policy, data access, deletion requests, or privacy complaints, email us at the address above. We aim to respond within a reasonable period.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to information processed when you:
- visit or browse the Site;
- install, enable, or use our Extensions;
- contact us by email;
- interact with our Chrome Web Store listings; or
- use optional features that may involve third-party services (for example AI).
This Policy does not control Google’s processing of data as operator of Chrome, the Chrome Web Store, or your Google Account. Google’s policies apply separately.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide
- Email and message content when you contact us by email, Telegram, or the support form on the Site (for example support requests or product-update emails).
- User-created content inside Extensions that you choose to save locally (for example prompts, queue items, notes, or preferences), where a product offers those features.
3.2 Information collected automatically on the Site
The Site is primarily a static marketing site. We do not require accounts or logins on fitztools.com. However, standard web technologies and service providers may process:
- Technical / server logs (for example IP address, date/time, requested URL, user-agent, referrer) via our hosting, CDN and DNS provider Cloudflare (the Site is served by Cloudflare Pages).
- Language preference stored in your browser via
localStorageso the Site can remember your selected language. - Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser information when a page loads.
- Support form: if you use the “Open support” form, the name, email address, and message you enter are sent through FormSubmit (
formsubmit.co) and delivered to our support inbox.
The Site does not use analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies.
3.3 Information processed by Extensions
Extensions only access data needed to provide the feature you request. Permissions are declared on each Chrome Web Store listing and shown by Chrome at install/update time.
- HTML to PDF Converter: Upload & Paste Code: processes the webpage, uploaded HTML file, or HTML code you choose to convert to generate a PDF. Core conversion runs locally in your browser, including full-page capture, Clean mode, the area you select with Select area, Edit mode, and optional headers and footers. Depending on how you use the Extension, the following may be stored:
- Conversion history (device only) — recent PDF exports (metadata and/or PDF data), titles, mode, and timestamps in IndexedDB
- Settings & preferences (device only) in
chrome.storage.local— language, image quality, capture start position, onboarding flags, and similar UI settings - Synced preferences in
chrome.storage.sync— the headers and footers configuration and the Google Drive auto-save toggle, so these two settings follow your Chrome profile across devices. Chrome sync is operated by Google under Google’s own policies; if sync is unavailable we fall back to local storage - Temporary session data (device only) in
chrome.storage.sessionwhile building a preview (for example uploaded HTML or a source-tab reference for conversion)
<all_urls>host access only when you start a conversion on a tab you choose.Optional Google Drive saving. The Extension can upload a finished PDF to your own Google Drive. This feature is off by default and runs only when you press “Save to Drive” or enable “Auto-save to Drive” in Settings. When you use it:
- Chrome’s
chrome.identityAPI obtains an OAuth access token for the single scopehttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. The token is handled by Chrome and used only from your browser to call the Google Drive API. We do not store it and never send it to our servers. - The generated PDF — which contains content from the page, file, or code you chose to convert — is transmitted from your browser directly to
googleapis.comand placed in your Google Drive. It is not sent to FitzTools or any third party. - The
drive.filescope restricts the Extension to files it creates itself. It cannot read, list, or modify any other file in your Drive. - We request no email or profile scope and do not receive your name, email address, or Google account identifier.
- You can revoke access at any time with “Disconnect” in Settings (which clears the cached token via
chrome.identity.removeCachedAuthToken) or from your Google Account permissions page.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use Extension page content to build advertising profiles for third-party ad networks.
4. How we use information
- to operate, maintain, and improve the Site and Extensions;
- to provide features you request (convert pages, files, or code to PDF, save PDFs to your Google Drive, or store preferences);
- to respond to support and product inquiries;
- to protect security, prevent abuse, and comply with law;
- to communicate product updates when you contact us or opt in.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
If you are in the EEA/UK or a similar jurisdiction, we process personal data where appropriate on bases such as: performance of a contract / requested service; legitimate interests (Site security, abuse prevention, product improvement, and answering support requests); and legal obligations.
6. Sharing / disclosures
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us run the Site — Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, DNS), Google Fonts (web fonts), and FormSubmit (
formsubmit.co), which delivers messages sent through the Site’s support form (name, email address, and message) to our inbox; - Google Drive when you use the optional Save to Drive or Drive auto-save feature of HTML to PDF Converter — the PDF goes from your browser to your own Drive account through the Google Drive API, at your request;
- Google as operator of Chrome and the Chrome Web Store (installs, reviews, policy enforcement);
- authorities or other parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security;
- a successor entity if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer (with appropriate notice where required).
We do not sell your personal information for money.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms made available by those providers (for example standard contractual clauses) or other lawful grounds.
8. Retention
- Support emails and support-form messages are retained as needed to resolve requests and for legitimate records.
- Extension local storage remains on your device until you clear it, uninstall the Extension, or use in-product reset/clear options (if available).
- PDFs you save to Google Drive stay in your own Drive account until you delete them. We have no copy of them and, under the
drive.filescope, no access to the rest of your Drive. - Server logs are retained according to Cloudflare’s practices.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a small software publisher (HTTPS for the Site via CDN, least-privilege permissions for Extensions, limited access to support inbox). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Your choices and rights
- Uninstall any Extension at any time via Chrome.
- Clear Site data / localStorage in your browser.
- Request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data we hold about you (for example support emails) by contacting egor.besarabm@gmail.com.
Depending on your location (EEA/UK/California/other), you may have additional rights (access, deletion, portability, objection, appeal). We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. If we cannot verify a request, we may ask for limited additional information.
11. Children’s privacy
The Site and Extensions are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Third-party sites and services
The Site and Extensions may link to or integrate with third-party services (Chrome Web Store, Lovable, Google, AI providers, websites you visit). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.
13. Chrome Web Store single purpose, permissions & Limited Use
Each Extension is designed for a stated purpose disclosed in its Store listing. We request only permissions needed for disclosed functionality. If permissions or data practices change materially, we will update the listing and this Policy as required.
Our use of information received from Google APIs and Chrome permissions adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Chrome user data for advertising, sell it, or transfer it to data brokers. We use it only to provide and improve the user-requested Extension features described in this Policy.
Our use of the Google Drive API in HTML to PDF Converter also complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Drive access is limited to the drive.file scope and is used for one thing only: uploading the PDF you just generated to your own Drive. We do not read other Drive files, do not transfer Drive data to anyone, do not use it for advertising or to train machine-learning models, and no human at FitzTools reads it.
In the Chrome Web Store data disclosure for HTML to PDF Converter we declare the category “Website content”, because a PDF generated from a page you chose can leave your device when — and only when — you use the optional Google Drive feature. No other category of user data is collected or transmitted.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish revisions. Continued use of the Site or Extensions after an update means you accept the revised Policy, except where consent is required by law.
