In short: Ajax AI is a free AI assistant with daily limits. Use it lawfully and respectfully, check important answers yourself, and only submit content you have the right to use. The service is provided “as is”. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ajax AI browser extension and the API service that powers it (together, the “Service”), provided by FitzTools, the developer of Ajax AI (fitztools.com) (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service and uninstall the extension.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA and UK) and old enough to agree to these Terms where you live. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
3. The Service
- Ajax AI lets you chat with an AI assistant in Chrome's side panel or in a full‑screen tab, ask about the current page, selected text, files, PDFs, links, other tabs, screenshots and YouTube videos, search the web, write and rewrite text, save prompts, and create images.
- No account is required. The Service is currently free and subject to daily usage limits shown in Settings. We may change limits, features or models, or introduce paid plans; paid features, if any, will be clearly described before you pay.
- The Service relies on third‑party providers (such as OpenRouter and AI model providers). Availability, quality and speed may vary, and features may be temporarily unavailable.
4. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, worldwide, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to install and use the extension for personal or business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease the Service, or reverse‑engineer it except where the law allows despite this restriction.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any law or regulation, or infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of others;
- create or distribute content that sexualizes minors, promotes violence or terrorism, harasses, threatens or discriminates against people, or facilitates self‑harm;
- create malware, phishing, spam or other deceptive content, or impersonate others;
- seek instructions for weapons capable of mass harm or other seriously dangerous activities;
- process sensitive personal data of others without a lawful basis;
- make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people without human review;
- abuse, overload or disrupt the Service, bypass usage limits (for example by generating many install tokens), scrape it, or access it other than through the extension;
- violate the usage policies of our AI providers, which also apply to content processed through the Service.
We may block requests, limit access or suspend tokens that we reasonably believe violate these Terms.
6. Your content
- “Input” is what you submit (messages, page content you include, selected text, files, links, screenshots). “Output” is what the Service returns (answers, rewritten text, images).
- You are responsible for your Input and confirm you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it — including content from websites, documents and emails you include. Respect website terms and copyright.
- As between you and us, you keep your rights in your Input and, to the extent permitted by law, you own the Output. You give us only the permission needed to process your Input to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Output may not be unique; other users may receive similar output.
7. AI output
Output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or offensive, and may not reflect the content you provided correctly. Check important information, including sources and citations, before relying on it. The Service does not provide professional (legal, medical, financial or other) advice. You are responsible for how you use Output, including text you insert into websites or send to others — the Service never sends messages for you without your action.
8. Third‑party sites and services
Answers may link to third‑party websites, and web search results come from third parties. We don't control and aren't responsible for third‑party content, products or services.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, name and logo, belongs to us and our licensors. Open‑source components (such as Mozilla pdf.js) are provided under their own licenses, included in the extension package. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes what is processed and when. You can control what is sent in the extension (for example by turning off “Current” or removing sources) and delete local history at any time.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your Input, your use of Output, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or end access to the Service, or discontinue it, at any time, including for violations of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll change the effective date and, for material changes, show a notice in the extension. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
16. General
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Belarus, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules, and without depriving consumers of the protection of mandatory laws of their country of residence.
